AGDS Prerequisites

Before using AGDS, ensure the following requirements are met:

• ThreatQ Version Parity: Source and target systems must run the same ThreatQ version.
• Time Configuration: All ThreatQ systems must be configured to use UTC.
• Air Gapped Deployment: The target system must be installed using the ThreatQ Air Gapped Installation process. 
• Kubernetes: ThreatQ 6 runs on RKE2; Kubernetes must be healthy and fully operational prior to AGDS execution.

Authentication Considerations

It is important to be aware of the following authentication notes:

• User Accounts and Permissions - users transferred via AGDS are imported as disabled accounts and exist solely to preserve source attribution. Permissions are not transferred.  Upon upgrade to ThreatQ v6.16.0, any user transferred without an account role is assigned a place holder, read-only role.
• LDAP and SAML Authentication - if LDAP or SAML authentication is used on the source system and user continuity is required, the same authentication method must be configured on the target before running an import.
