Introduction
The Reuters Cybersecurity News CDF integration enables analysts to stay on top of the latest news from the Reuters Cybersecurity News, which delivers reporting on global data breaches, ransomware attacks, and the activities of cybercriminal organizations and nation-state actors. The site's coverage often includes analysis of attack methodologies, the effectiveness of defenses, and the responses from affected entities, governments, and law enforcement. Beyond immediate incident reporting, Reuters also delves into deeper investigations of cybersecurity trends, policy developments, and the challenges faced by businesses and consumers in the evolving threat landscape.
The integration provides the following feed:
- Reuters Cybersecurity News - ingests cybersecurity posts from Reuters as reports.
The integration ingests Reports and Report attributes.

ThreatQ Mapping
Reuters Cybersecurity News
The Reuters Cybersecurity News feed periodically pulls posts from Reuters Cybersecurity News and ingests them into ThreatQ as Report objects.
GET https://www.reuters.com/pf/api/v3/content/fetch/articles-by-section-alias-or-id-v1
This request returns JSON data, which is then parsed to extract relevant information and the URL Path for the article.
GET https://www.reuters.com/{{ uri }}
The mapping for this feed is based on the .result.articles[]
list from the returned JSON, as well as the information parsed out of the blog's HTML content:
Feed Data Path | ThreatQ Entity | ThreatQ Object Type or Attribute Key | Published Date | Examples | Notes |

Known Issues / Limitations
- The feed utilizes since and until dates to make sure entries are not re-ingested if they haven't been updated.
- If you need to ingest historical blog posts, run the feed manually by setting the since date back.
- If the feed is run multiple times in a specific time window, it will be detected as a bot and be blocked by Reuters. After waiting a few hours, the run should work again and ingest data.
